Water Well Engineering Services
HLW Engineering Group personnel have experience on numerous water well projects throughout Iowa regulated by Iowa Administrative Code 567, Chapter 43 (Public Water Wells), Chapter 49 (Non-Public Water Wells), and Chapter 55 (Aquifer Storage & Recovery (ASR)). Our experience in the design of public, non-public, and ASR water wells includes a variety of screened and open-rock well designs. Our group also has experience in the design and construction of HVAC geothermal injection wells. ASR Wells and HVAC Geothermal Injection wells require permitting and/or registration through both the State and EPA.
HLW personnel have experience in the design of well rehabilitation and re-casing projects that are required to maintain a well or return a well to an improved condition. Our water well engineering services are comprehensive and include all aspects of permitting (State and Federal), hydrologic/geologic aquifer characterizations, test pumping design and interpretation, well interference assessment, well design, pump design, and well water pollution prevention plans (WWPPP) under Iowa Department of Natural Resources National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit No. 6.
Beyond our Water Well Engineering Services, we also have extensive experience in the design of landfill leachate extraction wells, monitoring wells, and methane gas monitoring probes.
